The committee appointed to gather suggestions for Constitutional reforms has gathered close to 1,000 proposals in the Colombo District.
Chairman of the Committee Attorney Lal Wijenayake said the proposals were submitted via written form, fax, e-mail and verbally.
Speaking at a media briefing this morning Wijenayake said the committee will reconvene in the Colombo District in the month of March for more ideas and suggestions of the masses.
From the 1st of February the committee will break into groups and visit all districts and while in Colombo will engage in a joint venture.
Attorney Lal Wijenayake added they will also call on the President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe to discussion the proposals and suggestions put forth to the committee.
