The Police have started the mission to clear the swimming pool at the Peacock mansion in Rajagiriya filled with sea sand.
The Peacock Mansion belongs to Sri Lanka Labour Party (SLLP) leader and businessman A.S.P. Liyanage, was said to have been filled with sand according to the request by the former president Mahinda Rajapaksha upon the advice of his astrologers.
A.S.P. Liyanage who had to appear before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate and Inquire into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Power, State Resources and Privileges (PRECIFAC) recently, later lodged a complaint at the Inspector General of Police,requesting to investigate the Peacock mansion swimming pool on last 13th.
Meanwhile sources claimed that the sand filled swimming pool hides a millions-worth fortune of ex-president, including gold and precious stones.
