The final recommendations by the Special Presidential Commission of Inquiry on Massive Fraud and Corruption (PRECIFAC) on the ITN incident are scheduled to be announced on February 26th.
A senior spokesman of the Commission said action will be taken against the perpetrators accordingly.
The investigation has been carried out over last 8 months, citing that advertising fees were not paid to ITN after the station telecast election propaganda material for former President Mahinda Rajapaksa during the last presidential election.
Statements were recorded from the former President, his media minister and several politicians with regard to this incident.
Former president Rajapaksa arrived before the Commission today to make yet another statement. However evidence was not recorded today as the commission functions were postponed.
Meanwhile the Commission has allowed the members of the accused party the opportunity to give evidence on February 18, 19, 25 and 26th.
