Twitter has deleted over 125,000 accounts related to a terrorist group in six months, the company revealed yesterday (05).
The social media company had to hire more employees six mid last year to comb through and delete any accounts linked with a terrorist group.
‘They offered some of the most detailed insight yet of how Silicon Valley is collaborating with western governments in its fight against Islamic State,’ foreign media reported.
Twitter has a ban on any tweets promoting terrorism or violence. However, it relies mainly on users to make a report of such accounts by flagging them.
