A leopard injured six after it broke into a school in Bangalore, India, foreign media reports.

Injured were attempting to capture the wild animal that was going on a rampage by the school pool. Among the victims was a scientist and a forestry employee who battled the animal for 10 hours before tranquilizing and releasing it to a national park

The leopard, believed to be eight years old, has fought off its capturers and they were rushed to the hospital with minor injuries.

Census shows that the leopard population is between 12,000 and 14,000.

The incident was captured on the school security camera.
