A Consultation Task Force to evaluate input of the public to shape Sri Lanka’s reconciliation mechanism was presented by Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera in Jaffna yesterday.
Chaired by senior advocate Manouri Muttetuwegama, the task force will compromise of 11 members. Minister Samaraweera said the task force will analyze and integrate propositions by the public when forming the reconciliation process. The final report will be presented to the Government.
He also said that the report, due to be handed over to United Nations Human Rights Council, is prepared not as a result of foreign interventions.
