People injured after a 5.7 magnitude earthquake hit Christchurch in New Zealand this morning.

The tremor had caused a cliff to collapse causing injuries to those who were staying close to it. GeoNet, New Zealand’s official earthquake monitoring service, has warned of aftershocks.

New Zealand police said that no major injuries were reported. However, a building in the city was completely evacuated.

Christchurch was recovering from a major earthquake that struck five years ago killing 185 and causing severe damage.
