Brazil deploys 200,000 soldiers to battle Zika ahead of Olympics

Over 200,000 soldiers were deployed in Brazil to warn the public of the severity of the mosquito-borne virus.

Brazil was hit badly when Zika broke out and 1.5 million people in the country was affected by it since early last year.

 The virus only causes mild flu-like symptoms but is suspected to cause microcephaly, shrinking of brains and heads, in babies.

The soldiers were deployed ahead of Olympic Summer Games that is to take place in Rio de Janeiro in August 05 to 21.
