A 74-year-old elderly father who was abandoned in a bus stand in Meegasara area, Weeraketiya pleads to be taken to an elders’ home.

After his wife died 33 years ago he had brought up their only daughter with great care. However, after getting married this daughter had sold their property in Karathota, Hakmana and left him to fend for himself.

“My daughter had only one son when the house was sold. He is now 24-years-old. I don’t know I he asks his mother if they had a grandfather. My legs and hands are paralyzed. Elders’ homes reject me. Please take me to an elders’ home,” he said.
