Navy Media Spokesman Captain Akram Alavi stated that four players who wore arm bands labelled “Yo-07” during the Rugby tournament held yesterday are suspended from the Navy Rugby squad.

Inquiry On Navy Ruggerites For Armbands Supporting Yoshitha Rajapaksa
The Sri Lanka Navy has decided to investigate its members who wore arm bands labelled “Yo” during the Rugby tournament held yesterday.
Navy Media Spokesman Captain Akram Alavi stated that the investigation will be conducted after taking into consideration certain newspaper reports published with regard to the matter.
The Navy won against the army 32 to 30. The game was held at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium in Diyagama.
Certain members of the Navy wore the arm bands during the game.
Former president Rajapaksa’s second son Lieutenant Yoshitha Rajapaksa captained the Navy Rugby team.
Captain Akram Alavi said that the Navy team had not been granted permission to wear the arm band during the game.
