Over 70 people died and 13 others were seriously injured when a passenger bus collided head-on with a truck on a highway in Ghana yesterday evening.
West African police said the state-run bus crashed into a truck transporting tomatoes near a town 420km from Accra, the capital.
This is one of the worst accidents reported in the country in years, as the bus was completely damaged.
When rescue came most were already dead, police said.
"It was very serious. Many of them were already dead," regional police spokesman Christopher Tawiah told foreign media.
