A multiple bomb attacks in cities of Homs and Damascus in Syria have left at least 140 dead, foreign media reports.

At least four bombs were detonated in southern Damascus suburb of Sayyida Zeinab where 83, the most number of people, were killed.

In Homs 57 people were killed in a double car bombing. A majority of the victims were civilians, reports says.

Islamic State (IS) is suspected to have carried out the massacre.
