The hearing of the petition filed by Former Minister of Economic Development, Basil Rajapaksa requesting anticipatory bail, has been postponed to the 28th of March.

This was ordered by the Supreme Court after taking the petition into consideration yesterday.

The calling of the petition was held with the participation of Chief Justice K. Sri Pavan, Anil Gunaratne and K.P Chithrasiri and permission was granted for cases filed in Kaduwela, Matara, Gampaha and Pugoda to be added on to the petition.

The petition was filed by former minister Basil Rajapaksa noting that information has come to light that the FCID is planning his arrest.
