2 bilateral agreements signed on Kiwi PM's 1st day of SL visit

Bilateral talks between President Maithripala Sirisena and visiting New Zealand Prime Minister John Key commenced this morning.  It has been reported that vital matters relevant to the economy were discussed by the two leaders.

Attention has been drawn specially to bring down New Zealand investment to Sri Lanka thereby creating a conducive marketing system.

Meanwhile New Zealand Prime Minister John Key is scheduled to meet prime minister Ranil Wickramasinghe this afternoon.

A red carpet welcome was held for Prime Minister Key with the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat premise this morning.  Several politicians including Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe participated in the event.

The Sri Lanka Navy conducted a guard of honor and held a gun salute as part of the ceremony
