The Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Peries ordered the CID today to arrest the suspects linked to Ruggerite Wasim Thajudeen’s Case and produce them before Court. Evidence provided has proven that the late Thajedeen was in fact murdered.
The body of Wasim Thajudeen was found inside his car on the side of the road near Narahenpita Shalika Hall on May 17th, 2012.
The first post mortem pronounced that the death was due a motor accident.
However subsequent investigations by a group of forensic specialists led by Dr. Ajith Thennakoon revealed that Thajudeen was murdered.
Later CCTV footage relevant to the incident was produced before Court.
The Colombo University which analyzed this video informed Court that the footage was unclear.
Later Court ordered that the video be analyzed by foreign experts.
In the meantime, Additional Magistrate Nishantha Peiris ordered the CID today to further report to Court on March 23rd.
