The visiting New Zealand Prime Minister John Key received the blessings of the Sacred Temple of the Tooth this morning in Kandy.

Minister Harin Fernando, Central Provincial Council Chief Minister Sarath Ekanayake, and several others joined the New Zealand Premier in his visit to the Temple of the Tooth.

Later, Premier John Key planted a mango seedling in the Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya to mark his tour of Sri Lanka.

He also admired another tree which was planted by one of his predecessors Walter Nash during his tour of Sri Lanka in 1958.

The premier has also had a conversation with a group of New Zealand tourists, visiting the Botanical Garden in Peradeniya.
