Undergraduates of Jaffna University staged a protest in the university premises yesterday.

The agitation was in protest to the newly introduced code of conduct to the students.

The students claim that the new rules related to dressing harm their privacy.

However, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts of Jaffna University told Hiru News that the new code of conduct is introduced on par with the Jaffna culture.

The Dean further stated that the new code of conduct is only operated after discussing with Student Union.
