The Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe noted that steps will be taken to establish a stable Upper Middle class in the Island.
This was stated at the International Democrat Union Executive Committee and the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs meeting held in Colombo today.
The meeting was held under the patronage of the head of the IDU, New Zealand Prime Minister John Key and the chairman of the Asian Democrat Union Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe.
Meanwhile, visiting New Zealand Prime Minister John Key will conclude his official visit to the island today.
The Prime Minister noted that the democracy does not depend on particular individuals but on collective operation of institutions.
The Premier further emphasized that the new government could accelerate the competition in the market as well.
