Sources claim that Trinity College, Kandy- one of Sri Lanka’s best boys’ schools, is considering the possibility of enrolling the child who was denied a school in Kuliyapitiya due to false rumor of HIV/AIDS.

Some past pupils of the school have collectively taken the initiative in obtaining the approval from the school administration to allow the student enter Trinity College and finish his education there.

The child from Kuliyapitiya who has been medically tested HIV negative had been denied a school due to protests and numerous insults of the parents of other students and educational authorities in Kuliyapitiya.

The mother of the child also filed a Fundamental Rights petition seeking a school for her child.
