A top ISIs leader was ‘critically injured’ in a U.S. airstrike in northeaster Syria last week, foreign media reports.

The man known as Omar ‘the Chechen’ al-Shishani was one of the most wanted ISIS members, with the U.S. offering a reward of $5 million for his head. He is also a former member of an elite Georgian military unit, media reports.

U.S. believes that 12 other ISIS fighters were also killed in the strike.
