PM assured that measures will be taken to present a detailed explanation to parliament on the 23rd of this month.

The Premier further stressed that the country is suffering the consequences of not implementing long term plans for the generation of power.

Meanwhile, a police investigation is currently underway with regard to the incident where a transformer exploded at the Biyagama Grid Substation yesterday.

Accordingly, a group of crime scene inspectors and officers from the Department of Government Analyst’s inspected grid.

Sapugaskanda Police have presented facts relating to the incident to the Mahara Magistrate’s court.
