Hiker’s luck: 2,000-year-old gold coin recovered

Hiker, Laurie Rimon, in Israel has found a 2,000 year-old-gold coin depicting the face of a Roman Emperor.

It is reported that there is only one other similar coin that is in existence.

The relic was recovered from eastern Galilee, Isreal, and Rimon has handed it to the Israel Antiquities Authority.

"It was not easy parting with the coin," she said to foreign media. "After all, it is not every day one discovers such an amazing object, but I hope I will see it displayed in a museum in the near future."
