Two German experts are due to arrive in Sri Lanka today to examine the transformers that exploded causing massive blackouts in the country.

Japanese scientists are already conducting investigations into the incidents.

They will forward their report to the Power and Renewable Energy (PRE) Minister tomorrow.

The recent explosions at the Biyagama Grid Station and Kotugoda Grid Sub Station in Minuwangoda caused black outs in the country.

However, PRE minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya said the Biyagama transformer was restored and Kotugoda one is under repair.

The Cabinet Sub Committee appointed to look into the incidents will hand in their report today.
