Former Chief Minister of the Eastern Province Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias Pilleyan was re-remanded till 06th April by the Batticaloa Magistrate M. Ganesharajah today.

Pilleyan was alleged for murdering former Parliamentarian Joseph Pararajasingham while he was attending the Christmas Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Batticaloa on 25th December 2005.

Accordingly, Former Chief Minister of the Eastern Province was seized by the CID in Colombo on 11th October 2015.
