A rally opposing the proposed Economic and Technology Cooperation Agreement with India was held at Hyde Park, Colombo last evening.

The rally was organized by the United Professionals Movement.

The President of Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA), Specialist Doctor Anura padeniya stated that the ECTA agreement should be studied well to realize the unfavorable aspects of the agreement to Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile, Senior lecturer of Rajarata University noted that traces of Indo-Lanka bilateral relations depict that India forcefully entered to agreements with Sri Lanka in the past.
