UPFA General Secretary alighted from Baddegama stage amid continuous hooting

UPFA members hooted at UPFA General Secretary Minister Mahinda Amaraweera as well as former General Secretary Minister Susil Premajayantha at two locations within the course of the day.

Minister Mahinda Amaraweera faced hooting during the meeting of the SLFP activists held at Baddegama Town Hall in Galle.

Deputy Minister Nishantha Muthuhettigama delivered the welcome speech.

The hooting which commenced following the speech continued throughout the event.

UPFA General Secretary was not able to address the audience as he was interrupted by the hooting noise of the crowd, and later he left the premises along with Deputy Minister Nishantha Muthuhettigama.

Meanwhile, a meeting of the SLFP Matara seat activists was held under the patronage of UPFA General Secretary Minister Mahinda Amaraweera.

The meeting was organized by the Southern provincial Minister Chandima Rasaputhra.

However, , provincial minister Chandima Rasaputhra was compelled to leave through the backdoor, due to a protest staged by a group of prospective teachers.

The protesters claimed that they have faced injustice following an examination held for graduates in the southern province.

Meanwhile, former General Secretary of the UPFA also faced a hooting, when he participated in a meeting of SLFP activists held at Mawanella.
