The 450 meter long walking track in Wattala had been removed by agroup using Backhoe machines on Saturday night.

The track was constructed by the now defunct Economic Development Ministry in 2013. The project cost 80 million rupees.

Meanwhile Minister John Amaratunga stated that the Urban Development Authority was in fact instructed to remove the walking path.
