Minister Faizer Mustapha said that it is unethical for the government to hold the Local Government Elections under the old electoral system when the government has pledged to introduce a new system.

Speaking at a press conference today, he said that almost all parties agree that the electoral system needs to be changed.

However, the appeals concerning the delimitation have to be considered before the election could be held, he said.
