Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has left for China on a 4 day official visit. Hiru news Airport Correspondent said the 15 member delegation left around 1.30 this afternoon.
The Prime Minister’s office in a statement said this is Premier Wickremesinghe’s first official visit to China since the establishment of the ‘good governance’ government.
The Premier will call on Chinese President Xi Jing Ping, the Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang and Chairman of the Standing Committee of The National People’s Congress, Zhang Dejiang and engage in extensive discussions during his visit.
The Prime Minister’s office said the discussions will further strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries.
