Agreement between China and Sri Lanka to resolve common problems
Concluding the 3-day official visit to China, the delegation led by Prime Minister Rani Wickremesinghe left China to return to Sri Lanka.
The Prime Minister flew to China last Wednesday.
During the Premier’s visit, the Sri Lankan delegates held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Lee Keqiang.
The External Affairs Ministry says that the Republic of China and Sri Lanka have agreed to provide mutual assistance pertaining to the common problems based on sovereignty, territorial integrity and development.
This was mentioned in a Joint Statement released after the conclusion of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe’s official tour in China.
The Joint Statement comprising 20 matters also provide details on the measures taken during the Prime Minister’s tour, to improve bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and China.
