British PM Cameron Wishes Sri Lankans For Avurudda and Puthandu

British Prime Minister David Cameron has greeted Sri Lankans for Sinhalese and Tamil New Year fell on last Wednesday.

David Cameron’s New Year wish specified on both arms of the New Year- Avurudda of Sinhalese and Puthandu of Tamils.

The New Year message said,

I would like to send my best wishes to everyone in Britain and Sri Lanka celebrating Aluth Avurudda and to all Tamil communities celebrating Puthandu today. (Sent on 13th)

I look forward to working with the Sri Lankan government and I hope that this New Year will bring communities closer together in helping to heal the wounds of the past.

Famous News service BBC had introduced the well wishing as a rare occurrence.
