A shop situated in Weligama area which sells rubber products has been completely destroyed due to a fire accident today (15) noon.
However the fire brigade has managed to douse the fire before it spread to the other shops.
It is reported that due to this incident the electricity supply in the area have been disrupted along with a traffic congestion in the Matara Colombo main road.
The cause of the fire is yet to be revealed and the Weligama police is conducting further investigations.
