Lift the ban on bull cart races- urges bull owners

The move to ban Thirikkala races or bull cart races has caused injustice to many, Thirikkala owners say.

They said that they spend a large sum of money to take care of the bulls to take part in this annual event.

They urged the government to lift the ban and allow them to hold bull cart races again.

A police circular was issued, under the animal rights act, banning any New Year event that would be held harming animals.
