Wild elephant attack in Polonnaruwa

A 50-year-old man has died in a wild elephant attack near the Diyabeduma Rathu Palama in Polonnaruwa.

He was attacked while travelling on his motorbike to pick his son who was returning after hiking the Adam's Peak, police say.

A sibling of the deceased person said that four people were killed in the area by wild elephants prior to this incident.
