Astronomers say this year’s mini-moon was seen on 21st and 22nd of April

This year, April's full moon was the smallest of the year because the moon was at the farthest point from Earth in its elliptical orbit.

During the mini-moon, the moon is about 250,000 miles away, while astronomers computed that the supermoon this November will have the moon parking at only 221,524 miles away -- which means that it will look massive from the Earth, scientific journals say.
