Increased Risk Of Power Outages In Colombo

The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) Employees’ Union says that the risk of a power outage in the city of Colombo has increased.

General Secretary of the union, Ranjan Jayalal points out that the cutting short the renovation of a currently nonfunctional underground electricity cable that transmits electricity from two sub stations in Colombo is the reason for this situation.
