CID records statements from Laggala police

The CID has recorded statements from four officials attached to the Laggala police with regard to the theft of firearms.

This includes the three officials who were suspended from duty following the case. Thus, the CID summoned a police sergeant, constable, an assistant police office and police’s telephone operator.

A T56 rifle and five revolvers went missing from the station on 14th this month.

No arrests were made over the theft.
