There is no need to panic about Federal Constitution proposal- Reginald Cooray

There is no need to panic about the Northern Province (NP) proposed Federal Constitution, Governor of the province Reginald Cooray said.

He said he will be able to make a statement regarding the proposal after studying it.

Similar proposals were forwarded by other provinces, he said, but that doesn’t mean it is identified as a law.

After the Chief Minister of the NP C.V. Wigneswaran presented the resolution to merge North and East into a federal, it was passed by a majority vote.
