Firearms found in Kilinochchi

Firearms were recovered from an abandoned house in Paranthan area in Kilinochchi.

Hiru News correspondent said shells, ammunition, magazines and communication equipment were among the firearms.

They were found by residents in the area, who have tipped the Sri Lanka Army about the finding.

Military Spokesman, Brigadier Jayanath Jayaweera said the weapons belonged to the L.T.T.E.

Further investigations will be made into the incident, he said.
