Activists launch balloons with anti-Pyongyang leaflets

Saturday, 30 April 2016 - 11:34

Anti-Pyongyang leaflets were launched by South Korean and US activists yesterday.

They were launched over the border where tensions have been running high since the isolated state's last nuclear test in January.

Around 300,000 leaflets were thus attached to gas-filled Pyongyang and launched by 20 activists including former defectors from North Korea.

One balloon launched on Friday carried a portrait of North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un and a slogan calling for his overthrow, a media report said.
