24 Sri Lankan Tamil refugees in Tamil Nadu to arrive in Sri Lanka

Twenty four Sri Lankan Tamil refugees in Tamil Nadu are arriving in Sri Lanka today under the UNHCR facilitated voluntary repatriation programme.

V.Sivagnanasothy, Secretary to the Ministry of Prison Reforms, Rehabilitation, Resettlement and Hindu Religious Affairs confirmed that of the 24 refugee returnees 17 are males and 7 are females.

These refugee returnees will get back to Trincomalee, Mullaitivu, Kilinochchi, Colombo and Vavuniya.
