Missing Persons Commission Requests President To Extend It's Term

The Presidential Commission to Investigate Complaints Regarding Missing Persons has requested President Maithripala Sirisena to extend the Commission’s mandate in order to complete the investigation of complaints in the East.

The Commission completed obtaining complaints in the Northern Province.

The term of the Presidential Commission to Investigate Complaints Regarding Missing Persons is due to end on the 15th of May.

The final report of the Commission is due to be released in July.
