Thirty one families residing in the Hatton- Kotagala- Meyfield Estate have been relocated due to the risk of landslides.

The relocation took place last night following instructions received from the National Building Research Organisation.

It has been confirmed that the risk arose due to earth cracks on the mountain over the estate. These earth cracks were developed due to continuous rain over the past few days, experts say.
