Search+operations+for+the+missing+monk+continues+

The search operation continues for a 2nd day, for the Buddhist monk of the Niyandagala forest monastery, who went missing in the Balangoda land slide.

The Army, police, residents of the area as well as Buddhist monks have joined the on-going search operations.

Meanwhile, the Disaster Management Centre stated that 25 persons who were displaced due to the land slide have been sheltered in makeshift camps at a nearby temple.
