Friday, 06 May 2016 - 12:32

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) says there have been no attacks on Indian fishermen by the Sri Lankan navy after Narendra Modi came to power.

BJP President Amit Shah said that more than 600 fishermen were killed when the UPA Government was in power, for which the DMK and the Congress should be held responsible, The Hindu reported.

“No Tamil fisherman was killed by the Sri Lankan Navy after Mr. Modi became Prime Minister,” he said at an election rally in Tamil Nadu.

Shah said that the BJP was keen on providing a clean administration in Tamil Nadu, which had been ruined by corrupt administration of the DMK and the AIADMK.
