Heated words were exchanged among ruling party members and the Opposition in parliament this morning over the manner in which the supplementary estimate for 55 million rupees was passed yesterday.

Responding to the situation, Speaker Karu Jayasuriya said that a four member committee led by Opposition Leader R. Sampandan will be appointed to look into the matter.

Ministers Rauff Hakeem, Wijedasa Rajapakse and UPFA MP Chamal Rajapaksa have also been appointed this committee. 

However the speaker adjourned the sittings this morning following the verbal exchange among the MPs continued.
