Almost 90,000 people were evacuated in Alberta, Canada, as the massive wildfire continues to spread and is threatening to reach Saskatchewan, a neighboring province.

Officials says that the dry and windy conditions are fueling the blaze, which has already destroyed 1,560 square kilometers.

"The situation remains unpredictable and dangerous," Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale said Saturday.

Alberta is "tinder dry," he said, adding there was a possibility of a drop in temperature and a slight chance of rain early next week.
