The veteran oil minister in Saudi Arabia was replaced on Saturday, as Saudi king Salman announced a series of changes in his government on Saturday.

This changes, reports say, comes in line with Saudi Arabia’s ‘Vision 2030’ economic and social reform plan.

Ali al-Naimi has served as the oil minister in the country since 1995. He was replaced by Khalid al-Falih who is the chairman of state-run oil giant Aramco.
