Allowances given to Grama Niladaris increased

Allowances given to Grama Niladaris will be increased next week, Minister of Home Affairs Vajira Abeywardena said at the Grama Niladari’s Summit in Anamaduwa yesterday.

Thus, travelling allowances will be increased to Rs. 600, allowances of other travel expenses increased to Rs. 1000 and urban office allowance to Rs. 1500 and rural office allowance to Rs. 1000.
