KP's Case Taken Up at the Court of Appeal

The petition filed at the Court of Appeal by JVP MP Vijitha Herath seeking the arrest of former LTTE International Wing Leader Kumaran Padmanathan alias KP, was taken up today.

The Attorney General’s Department informed the Court of Appeal that the Police Terrorist Investigations Division (TID) continues the investigation on the activities on KP.

The Attorney of Petitioner requested a short period of time from the Court of Appeal to decide whether to continue this case or not.

The case is to be taken up again on May 30th.
